GameForce has started pre-orders for two new gaming
handhelds, albeit there appears to be little difference between the two. For
context, the GameForce ACE and GameForce Indie debut two years after the Chi, a
device clearly influenced by the Game Boy Advance. This time, GameForce has
drew heavily on the design of the Nintendo Switch, perhaps more so than the AYN
Odin2.
In any case, the GameForce ACE and GameForce Indie share a
5.5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels and a 16:9
aspect ratio. Unfortunately, GameForce has not released any other information
on this panel, such as brightness or refresh rate. A 5,500 mAh battery with 20
W wired charging via USB Type-C, a tiny HDMI socket for television output, and
hall effect joysticks are all incorporated in the 212 x 91 x 16 mm chassis.
Furthermore, the pair has eMMC flash storage as well as
MicroSD card and NVMe 2242 slots in case you require more than what GameForce
preinstalls. GameForce differentiates the ACE and Indie based on their chipsets
and RAM configurations, as far as we can discern. The GameForce ACE, for
example, has a Rockchip RK3588S, 8 GB of RAM, and 128 GB of storage, whilst the
GameForce Indie has a Rockchip RK3566, 4 GB of RAM, and 32 GB of storage.
The Indie is now priced at US$69.99, but this will increase to US$84.99 on October 11, US$99.99 in November, and US$109.99 in December. The GameForce ACE, on the other hand, starts at US$159.99 and will eventually cost US$219.99. For further information, please visit GameForce's website.
